He works with his cousins and best mate, and has the motto of working hard and playing hard. Trent was a star Australian Rules footy player when he was a teenager before a back injury put a stop to a career in the big time. He went to school with Phoebe Spiller, who went all the way last year on Love Island Australia with her now partner, Mitch Eliot. He admits he has had a crush on Phoebe in the past and they have hooked up before, but he is happy that she has found love with Mitch.

Trent entered the villa on Day 1, where he was chosen to be coupled with by Tia. Later on Day 3, Trent was made single after bombshell; Reid chose to couple up with Tia. As such Trent was told that he'd need to leave the villa and head to the waiting room where he'd stay for the night, before returning to the villa the next day. Later during Day 6's first re-coupling, Trent was chosen to be re-coupled with by Savanah. At Day 9's second re-coupling, Trent chose to stay loyal to Savanah. For Day 11's third re-coupling, Trent was able to remain coupled with Savanah. For the fourth re-coupling on Day 16, Trent was chosen to be re-coupled with by Abby. However on Day 18, Trent was left single after Abby was voted as the least genuine girl by the "Superfans". On Day 19, Trent was given an ultimatum; couple up with either Tasia or Savanah or leave the villa single. In the end Trent chose to couple up with Savanah, therefore leaving Tasia dumped. On Day 22, Trent was left single after bombshell; Clint chose to couple up with Savanah and was as such dumped from the villa in 9th place.
