Sports Day (2022)

Sports Day was the eleventh challenge from the eighth season of Love Island UK, airing July 24th,2022.

Introduction[]

For this challenge the islanders were divided into 2 teams of eight; The Blue team and the Red Team with Paige & Gemma as the respective team captains. In this challenge, the teams were tasked with taking part in a number of traditional school sports day activities, starting with egg and spoon races, with each team selecting a member to take part in a number of heats. The team whose member got back first in each heat would win their team a point.

The second stage of the challenge was a three-legged race where two members from each team had to tie their legs together and compete one on one in a race. The duo that managed to get back first would score a point and would have to tag in their team's next runners. For the final stage of sports day, the teams would compete in a tug of war, with the aim of trying to get a pink flag tied to the middle of the rope to slide down their side. The team who managed to get the flag to slide down their way would win the challenge.
