Season 7 (Poland)

Season 7 is the seventh season of the Polish love island, hosted by Karolina Gilon and premiering February 27th,2023 on TV4.

Production[]

The seventh season of the show was confirmed to be in production on November 10th,2022 just over a month after the previous season came to an end, with producers promoting the audition drive via the show's social media.^[1]

On January 25th,2023 it was announced that from this season onwards the show would no longer be airing on Polsat and would instead start airing from it's sister channel; TV4. At the time, the director of programming at Polsat TV mentioned that this change would be only the first of many changes to the network's programming with more scheduled to come.^[2] At the same time it was also confirmed that Karolina would be returning to present the show once more.

On February 17th,2023 it was confirmed that the new season would be premiering February 27th,2023 with a new time-slot of 21:00 moving up from it's original 22:00 slot on the timetable.^[3] This was accompanied by the first promotional videos for the new season featuring host; Karolina.

Casting[]

The auditions for the new season were opened just over a month after the previous season came to an end, with the producers looking to cast young and attractive single boys and girls between the ages of 18-35. To accomplish this starting from November 10th,2022, the show provided potential applicants with various different routes to take when applying. These included; sending a private message to the producers through Instagram or signing an application form. The last calls for auditions began on January 17th, 2023.^[4]

Villa[]

At the time of the announcements surrounding the show's move to TV4, it was also revealed that the new season would be airing from a brand new villa for the first time. This new villa was later revealed to be situated within Andelusia, Spain on the day of the show's launch. The villa itself featured a similar layout and set of features to the previous villa used in the show.

Specifically the villa features two floors, including a new hide-away, bedroom area and hallway using a variety of different colours including whites, blues and pinks as a part of their most prominent colour scheme. The villa also featured an open-plan garden area, featuring a large pool, bar area and the classic LI fire-pit.^[5]

Islanders[]

The initial line-up of islanders were revealed across 3 days from February 21st-23rd, 2023 through the show's social media accounts and was comprised of 5 boys and 5 girls, with more islanders then set to enter the villa later in the season as bombshells.

	Couplings	Day 1: After each of the boys had entered the villa, the girls each came in one by one. The boys would have to step forward for the girl they were interested in, but the ultimate choice would be left to the girls. Final couplings-Agata & Wojtek, Agnieszka & Kamil, Alicja & Mateusz, Claudia & Patryk, Kinga & Hubert. Late Day 1: After the initial coupling, bombshell Wiktoria arrived and was told that she'd be able to steal a boy of her choice and as such she chose to couple up with Wojtek leaving Agata single. Day 2: During the evening, bombshell; Adam was told that he'd be able to choose a girl of his choice to couple up with and as such he chose to couple up with Kinga, leaving Hubert single. Day 5: First re-coupling (Boys choice)-Mateusz & Alicja (Stayed together). Patryk & Wiktoria, Adam & Claudia, Wojtek & Agnieszka, Hubert & Agata, Kamil & Julia (Re-coupled).
	Challenges	Day 3:Hands up-In this challenge, the girls had to dress up as policewomen and had to take part in a police-themed obstacle course. To start the policewoman would have to strike a pose atop a platform before sliding down a policeman's pole and head to the jail-cell to collect their thief. Upon doing so they'd have to take them over to the interrogation table and do a search, where they'd find a revealing statement about said boy that they'd have to read out. The policewoman would have to try and get the truth out of the boys, with the boy then having to own up.

	Challenges	Day 10:Snog, Marry, Pie-The islanders were each tasked with choosing an islander of the opposite sex to snog, marry and pie. To do this they'd have to share a passionate kiss with the islander they wanted to snog, place a ring on the finger of the islander they wanted to marry and slam a cream-pie in the face of the islander they wanted to pie. The boys and girls would take it in turns to have a go.
