The seventh season of the show was first confirmed on November 16th,2023 when it was announced by Peacock that the show had been renewed for a further two seasons, with one being the previous season airing in 2024 and then a seventh season airing in summer 2025. At the time it was mentioned that the renewal had come about thanks to the trajectory for potential growth of the franchise as pointed out by Corie Henson; the executive vice president of unscripted content at Peacock, using the then recent success of the fifth season as evidence of this.[1]
It was reported by the Sun on May 3rd,2025 that after impressing audiences during the previous season, Maura Higgins would be returning to host another season of Aftersun. Insiders mentioned at the time that it was obvious she would return, given how popular she was with audiences.[2]
On May 6th, 2025 it was announced that the seventh season would be premiering June 3rd,2025, as well as also confirming that Ariana Madix would return to host the season, with Iain Stirling remaining as the narrator. The first teaser for the season was also released alongside these announcements, featuring Ariana and Iain attempting to predict the islanders and bombshells of the season with a crystal ball.[3]
On June 2nd,2025 it was confirmed that All-stars islanders; Cely Vazquez & Callum Hole would act as the season's social ambassadors and would be in charge of interacting with the fans and keeping a check of the show's socials.[4]
Casting[]
Applications for the seventh season opened upon the finale of the sixth season on July 21st,2024. As with the previous seasons of the show, producers were once again looking for young and attractive singles between the ages of 21 and 31. In order to do so, applicants would need to fill out an application form that could be accessed through the show's social media. As of May 2025, applications for the season are still open.[5]
Villa[]
The first official images of the new villa for the season were revealed on June 2nd,2025, alongside a confirmation of it being based in Fiji again. For this season, a number of new additions were added to the villa including a sauna, speakeasy and a photo-booth. This was coupled with a blue, yellow and pink chequered aesthetic.[6]
Islanders[]
The initial line-up of islanders were announced in full on May 29th,2025. The line-up comprised of 5 boys and 5 girls.[7]Further islanders entered the villa later as bombshells.
Day 1:After each of the girls entered the villa, they were introduced to the boys one by one. After this the girls were tasked with choosing two of the boys to kiss, with them then deciding which one out of the two they'd couple-up with. The final couplings were-Yulissa & Ace, Chelley & Austin, Huda & Jeremiah, Belle-A & Nicolas, Olandria & Taylor.
Day 3:Bombshells; Cierra & Charlie were given the opportunity to couple up. The islanders who were interested in either of the bombshells had to step forward the bombshells would choose which out of those stood up they wanted to couple up with. Ace, Austin, Nicolas & Taylor stood up for Cierra and non of the girls stood up for Charlie. As such Cierra chose to couple up with Nicolas and Charlie was allowed to remain in the villa single.
Day 6:First re-coupling (Boys choice)-Austin & Chelley, Nicolas & Cierra, Taylor & Olandria, Jeremiah & Huda (Stayed together). Charlie & Hannah, Ace & Amaya (Re-coupled).
Challenges
Day 4:State Your Case-Boys were pitted against the girls in a challenge, where they had to rank the members of the opposing team from least to most in correspondence to a set of questions. To do this they'd arrange a row of suitcases, correlating to members of the opposing team into the order they guessed and if they got it right, they'd score a point. Team with the most points at the end would win. In the end it was the boys that won.
Day 5:Getting to 4th Base-The girls had to select 4 boys each to stand at one of four bases. Each of the bases had it's own mini-challenge, with the aim being to get to the fourth and final base. The first had the girl work with the allocated guy to fish baseballs out of a pit of popcorn using only their mouth, the second had the girl using her teeth to rip off the boy's shirt and seductively spray condiments on each other, the third involved the girl and her allocated guy using their mouth to search for lollies in a pit of balls before snogging and the fourth had the girl giving her guy a passionate snog.

Day 11:It was revealed that the public had been voting for which islanders the bombshells should could up with. The final couples were as such-Iris & Jeremiah, Jose & Hannah, Jalen & Olandria.
Day 13: As part of a twist, host; Ariana had each of the girls stand behind a make-shift door, with each then choosing whom they'd like to couple up with. The boys would then be asked one by one to stand in front of the door belonging to the girl they wanted to couple-up with. If both parties wanted to couple up, the door would open and they'd be coupled but if it didn't open they'd be single and vulnerable. The final pairings were as such-Cierra & Nicolas, Hannah & Jose, Iris & Jeremiah, Olandria & Taylor, Chelley & Ace, Amaya & Austin.
Challenges
Day 8:Pucker or Pie-The islanders had to answer an array of questions, with them having to choose a fellow islander as the answer. They would then have to flip a coin featuring images of a pair of lips and a cream-pie. If it landed on the lips they'd need to give their answer a kiss and if it landed on the pie, they'd have to slam a pie into their face.
Day 11:Got Wood-Each of the boys had to dress up as lumberjacks and chop down a make-shift tree branch. They would then read the attached question and answer it by spraying the fellow lumberjack they believe it applied to. The target would then choose a girl to help the lumberjack chop a piece of wood, before said lumberjack would move onto the spinning log where they'd select another girl to help them. The final part would entail them picking out a beaver plush with one of the girl's names. They'd then go into the wood-cabin and do whatever they want.
Day 14:Booty Battleground-In a challenge hosted by singer/songwriter; Megan Thee Stallion, The girls were pitted against the boys in a set of three challenges. The first was a twerk-off, divided into four heats where a member of each team would attempt to pull-off the best twerking performance, with Megan determining the winner of each heat. The team with the most points would win the challenge. The second challenge was a game of limbo, where three islanders from each team would attempt to duck under a progressively lowering pole. The team with the most members at the end would win. The final challenge was "Build-an-islander" where teams would be tasked with building a 3D puzzle of the bombshell they were trying to win. In the end it was the girls that won.

Day 11:After each of the bombshells had been coupled up by the public, three islanders were left single-Charlie, Huda, Taylor. The islanders who didn't get re-coupled then had to choose one of the three to send home-Charlie(Received most votes to dump).
Day 13: After the couples were formed, two islanders were left single- Huda & Jalen. Each of the islanders were then asked to individually choose whom they wanted to save by standing behind them-Jalen (Least votes to save).
Day 17: After a kissing game, each of the OG boys were asked to line-up on a heart, with the five Casa girls then being tasked with lining-up behind the boy they wanted to couple up with. If more than one girl stood behind a guy, the guy would be able to choose who to couple up with. The final pairings were as such-Clarke & Nicolas, Coco & Taylor, Gracyn & Jose, Jaden & Austin, Savanna & Ace,
In Casa, after a game each of the OG girls were asked to line-up on a heart and the Casa boys were then given the opportunity to choose who they wanted to couple up with. The final couplings were as such-Bryan & Andreina, Chris & Chelley, Elan & Cierra, JD & Huda, Zac & Iris, Zak & Olandria.
Day 18: Upon being made single after the first Casa Amor coupling, single islanders TJ and Amaya were tasked with convincing one of the Casa islanders to leave their couple and re-couple with them the next day. In the evening of Day 18, TJ was able to convince Vanna to couple up with him, while Amaya convinced Zak to re-couple with her. Then single boys Ace & Taylor also re-coupled with Coco & Clarke respectively. Nicolas and Olandria were left single and vulnerable.
After being dumped from the Main villa and Casa respectively, Nicolas and Olandria were sent on a date together. There they were given the option of either coupling up and returning to the Main villa or leaving the show. In the end they chose to couple up and as such returned to the villa.
Day 20: Post Casa Amor, the OG girls and Casa boys returned from Casa Amor joining the OG boys and the Casa girls. There each individual islander was asked to write down whom they wanted to couple up with, before then being asked to step into the centre of the heart for the OG islander they wanted to couple up with. The OG islander in the centre would then reveal who they wanted to couple up with and if they matched one of the islanders that stepped forward they'd couple up, if not they and those wanted to match would be left single. The final pairings were as such- Austin & Jaden, Amaya & Zak, Huda & Chris, Ace & Chelley, Jose & Gracyn, Iris & TJ, Cierra & Nicolas, Taylor & Clarke, Andreina & Bryan. Single islanders Elan & Olandria were allowed to stay after being saved by their fellow islanders.
Challenges
Day 15:What's your Beef?-The couples took part in a farm-themed course. The girl had to walk their man forward in a wheel-barrow position while he was blindfolded, before the two of them had to use their mouth to fish out a tag from a trough. The tag would feature the name of another islander of the opposite sex they'd have to snog. For the next part of the challenge, the man would need to milk a makeshift cow and carry the milk in his mouth, before depositing into his partner's mouth. She would then use the milk to fill a bucket, featuring a question to which the couple would have to give the name of another islander as their answer by pouring the milk over them.
Day 19:Raunchy Races-The Main villa was pitted against Casa Amor in a set of mini-challenges. The first villa to complete a task would score a point for themselves, with the villa that scored the highest total amount of points at the end being declared the winners. In the end it was Casa Amor that won the challenge.
