Season 6 (Poland)

Season 6 is the sixth season of the Polish version of Love Island, hosted by Karolina Gilon and premiering August 29th,2022 on Polish TV network; Polsat.

After six weeks, on October 9th,2022 Aleksandr Muzheiko & Angelina Zaichenko were announced as the winners of the season and of the 50,000 euro cash prize, with Sebastian Kalinowski & Wiktoria Reglinska being the runners-up.

Production[]

The sixth season of the show was confirmed to be in production After the finale of the previous season on April 10th, 2022 through the show's application promotions.^[1]. Through these campaign ads, it was also confirmed that Karolina would indeed be returning to host the sixth season.

On August 8th,2022 it was confirmed that the upcoming season of the show would be premiering later that month on August 29th, also premiering the first trailer for the new season through the use of their social media accounts.^[2].

Casting[]

Auditions for the new season opened upon the conclusion of the previous season on April 10th,2022 with the show making use of their social media accounts to announce the casting call. As usual the producers were looking for young and attractive boys and girls between the ages of 21 and 35 and made use of video promotions featuring both the host; Karolina and clips of islanders from the previous season to try and convince potential applicants.^[3].

This promotional campaign lasted till July 2022 and for the first time in the show's history, potential islanders were able to submit their applications for private messages on the show's Instagram page, requiring those who are looking to apply through this method to supply their basic personal details as well as both a full-body photo and a head-shot of themselves attached to the message.^[4]

However islanders would also still be able to fill out the typical application form if they want to apply through that method. As of August 2022, the applications for the new season are still open.^[5]

Villa[]

As of August 2022, there hasn't been any concrete information as to the villa that will be utilized for the new season, however it could be assumed that they will be looking to make use of the villa located in Andalusia, Spain that was used for the previous seasons.

Islanders[]

The initial cast of islanders were revealed over two days, starting from August 25th,2022, with the girls being revealed on the first day and the boys the next day. The initial cast is comprised of 4 girls and 5 guys, with further islanders set to enter the villa later as bombshells.^[6].

	Couplings	Day 2:On Day 1, the islanders were told that they wouldn't be able to couple up that day, but would instead couple up the next day. On Day 2, the girls were given a chance to couple up with a boy of their choice. Finale couples-Inez & Sebastian, Karolina & Mateusz, Weronika P & Kamil, Wiktoria & Jakub. Later that day single boy Pawel, was given the chance to date 2 new girls; Paula and Weronika B. At the end of these dates, he was able to couple with a girl of his choice and he chose Weronika B. Day 3: On Day 3 it was revealed that as part of a twist, the public had been tasked with re-coupling the islanders and these were the final results-Kamil & Weronika P (Stayed together). Jakub & Paula, Mateusz & Weronika B, Pawel & Karolina, Sebastian & Wiktoria (Re-coupled). Inez (Left single).
	Challenges	Day 4:Angels and Devils-For this challenge, the islanders all had to dress up as angels and divide into 2 teams based off of gender. The teams then took it turns to fire off arrows at a dart-board featuring the faces of the opposite team's islanders. If they were able to accurately target and hit the photo of the islander they wanted, they'd be able to get a snog with said islander. For the second part of the challenge, the islanders would have to get into their couples and attempt to eat an apple that was dangling from a rope together. The couple that managed to finish their apple first would be declared the winners. In the end this turned out to be Kamil & Weronika P.

	Exits	Day 6:On Day 6, the islanders were all tasked with voting off one boy and one girl, with the girls each having to vote for a boy and the boys each having to vote for a girl-Mateusz & Karolina (Most voted for boy and girl respectively).

On Day 10, Daniel chose to couple up with Wiktoria, while Pawel M chose Weronika B, leaving Pawel H & Konrad single respectively. 	Challenges	Day 9:Heart Raisers-In this challenge, the boys and girls took it in turns to dress-up in sexy costumes and perform seductive dances towards their partners and their team. The aim of the challenge was to try and raise the heart-rates of the opposing team the highest, with the team that managed to get the highest being declared the winners
