Season 4 (Sweden)

Season 4 is the fourth season of the Swedish Love Island hosted by Johanna Nordstrom and premiering January 27th,2025 on TV4.

Production[]

On April 12th,2024 it was confirmed that the Swedish Love Island would be returning for a fourth season. This was accompanied by an opening of applications for the new season.^[1] At the same time it was also confirmed that the season would be pre-recorded, with producers revealing that filming would commence in autumn 2024.^[2]

This was further confirmed on August 7th,2024 when the show announced that they would be looking for a group of "Superfans" to take part in the show, via their official social media accounts.^[3]

Later on September 9th,2024 it was announced that the previous host; Julia Franzen would no longer be hosting the show and instead Swedish comedian and TV personality; Johanna Nordstrom would be taking over the position from this season onwards.^[4] To add to this it was further revealed on December 23rd,2024 that there would be a new narrator for this season in the form of TV personality; Torbjorn Averas Skorup.^[5]

On December 8th,2024 it was confirmed that the fourth season would be airing from January 27th,2025.^[6]

Casting[]

Applications for the new season were opened on April 12th,2024 upon the announcement of the new season. The show was once again looking for young and attractive single boys and girls between the ages of 20 and 35 to take part. Potential islanders would need to fill out an application form available through the show's site to take part. Potentials could also be put forward via social media.^[7]

Applications would later close early in September 2024, just as the season began filming.

Villa[]

The season was filmed at a luxury villa located in Cyprus.

Islanders[]

The first two islanders from the initial line-up of islanders were revealed on December 8th,2024.^[8] Further islanders entered the villa later as bombshells.

	Couplings	Day 1: Upon the evening, the girls were introduced to each of the five boys before taking part in a game of dares. After this the boys each lined-up and the girls had to stand behind the guy they wanted to couple up with. In the event more than one girl stood behind a boy, said boy would make the decision as to whom he'd couple with. The final couplings were as such-Andrew & Karina, Elin & Mattias, Johanna & Linus, Marcus & Wilma, Matilda & Morgan. Day 3: During the evening of Day 2, bombshell Emma was told that during the next evening she'd be able to steal a boy of her choice to couple up with. The next day, Emma made the decision to couple up with Linus leaving Johanna single and vulnerable. Day 5: First re-coupling (Girls/bombshells choice)-Matilda & Morgan (Stayed together). Johanna & Mattias, Wilma & Andrew, Elin & Marcus, Andres & Karina, Lazaro & Emma (Re-coupled). Linus (Left single). Day 7: Bombshell: Kieran was given the opportunity to choose a girl to couple up with and as such Kieran made the decision to couple up with Elin.
	Challenges	Day 4:Below the Belt-In this challenge, the boys were pitted against the girls in a boxing-themed competition. To start off with an islander would need to strike a dummy, before sliding down into an ice-pool. After this they'd fish out a statement correlating to an islander on the opposite team and would have to guess whom it correlated to. To do this they'd have to snog the islander they believed it belonged to. If they got it right, they'd score a point for their team and the team with the most points at the end wins. In the end the Boys were the winners. Day 7:Cosmic Calculous-The boys were pitted against the girls where couples had to come up and each individually perform a sexy pole dance. After this they'd be given a statement correlating to how the "Superfans" had voted and then each of them would have to make a guess by turning a wheel-dial. The one to get it closest to the actual answer would score a point for their team, with the team that had the most points at the end winning. In the end it was the Girls who won the challenge.

	Couplings	Day 10: Second re-coupling (Girls choice)-Matilda & Morgan, Wilma & Andrew, Karina & Andres, Johanna & Mattias (Stayed together). Emma & Linus (Re-coupled). Lazaro (Left single). Day 13: Bombshells; Jennifer & Olivia were given the opportunity to choose a boy to couple up with. As such Jennifer chose to couple up with Morgan and Olivia chose Lazaro.
	Challenges	Day 14:Splash and Label: In this challenge the girls each dressed up as businesswomen and took part in an office-themed course. First they had to do a sexy cat-walk before heading to the office desk. There they'd pick out a label that they would the have to assign to one of the boys. They would need to explain their reasoning before then throwing coffee over them. To end off they'd need to give a boy their stamp of approval and give them a snog. In the end the boys would determine the winner of the challenge, based off of the performances. Ultimately the winner of the challenge was Jennifer.
