Season 3 (UK)

Season 3 is the third season of the British Reality Dating show; Love Island (2015), hosted by Caroline Flack and narrated by Iain Stirling. The season premiered June 5th,2017 and finished July 24th,2017, with Amber and Kem walking out the winners and Camilla and Jamie being the runner-ups.

This season also introduced 1 spinoff; A live panel show known as; Love Island: After-Sun was introduced and aired every Sunday evening, also being hosted by Caroline Flack.

Production[]

The third season of Love Island was confirmed once again on Valentines Day in 2017, being hosted by Caroline Flack and narrated by Iain Sterling once more.

Casting[]

The auditions were once again opened on Valentines day and the producers were looking for sexy singular male and female civilian Islanders, who would need to send in audition tapes to the producers. The producers would also use social media to find Islanders. The final closing date for the season was July 7th,2017.

Villa[]

The first images of the villa were released June 2nd,2017. The villa mainly featured the same layout as the previous two seasons, with the bedrooms getting a redesign,having all the beds lined up in a row, instead of facing each-other. There were also different aesthetics used this time, featuring a mix of pink, green, blue and white colours. This would be used for both the bedrooms and the lounge.

A decking and pool area were also featured once more, featuring a gym. A new look hide-away was also introduced for the season.

Casa De Amour[]

On June 28th,2017, it was confirmed that a second villa was put into place; a villa called Casa De Amour. This was used as a part of a twist that would be used to test the loyalties of the couples, with eleven new Islanders having been introduced through this twist.

Islanders[]

The full starting line-up for the third season of the show was announced on May 29th,2017, one week before the show's launch. Further Islanders would enter the villa throughout the season. Islanders would be eliminated if they failed to couple up, voted off by their fellow Islanders and voted out by the public.On July 24th,2017 Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay came out as the winners.

	Coupling	Day 1:After having the girls had entered the villa, the boys were allowed to couple up with a girl of their choice. The couplings were as such: Marcel & Olivia, Dom & Montana, Sam & Camilla, Chloe & Kem, Amber & Harley Day 2:Singular Jessica was allowed to steal one of the boys from a girl. She chose to couple with Dom, stealing him from Montana. Day 6:First Re-coupling (Girls Choice)-Jessica & Dom (Stayed Together). Montana & Marcel, Chloe & Chris, Olivia & Sam, Amber & Kem, Camilla & Jonny.
	Challenges	Day 2:A Lot of Bottle-Each of the girls were selected at random to answer a question. In order to accomplish this, the selected girl would have to kiss a guy. These roles would then be reversed once all the girls had done it. Day 4:The girls had to set-up and host a welcome party for the new boys; Chris & Jonny. Day 5:The Hole Package-The girls were tasked with determining which of the boys had the best body, through only the use of touch. In order to make it a little harder, a wall was placed in front of the girls, so that they didn't know who's body they where feeling. In the end Chris was chosen as the winner. Day 6:Splashing Around-The islanders split into 2 teams, to compete in a lilo relay race, with the winners receiving ice lollies.

	Challenges	Day 7:Truth or Dare-The islanders were tasked with performing dares taken from a cup. Day 9:Kissing Contest-The girls had to individually kiss each of the different boys and wait for them to rate it. Gabby, Montana and Tyne-Lexy were declared the joint winners. Day 10:Sports Day-The islanders participated in a variety of various sporting challenges, as a part of the Love Island Sports Day. Day 12:Battle of the Booties-The girls competed to win a date with a new islander, with Camilla, Chloe, Gabby, Montana and Tyne-Lexy taking opting to take part. Tyne-Lexy was the eventual winner.

	Challenges	Day 15:Mr and Mrs-The couples took part in a quiz, with each member of the couple having to match each others answers to score a point. In the end Gabby & Marcel were the winners. Day 16:The Smoothiest Operator-The couples took part in a game where they had to make smoothies, with a twist. One member of each couple had to pieces of fruit to the other with their mouth to make a smoothie. The that member had to pass the smoothie back using their mouth, to the other partner to deposit in a glass. The winners were Chris & Chloe. Day 16:Speedy Positions-Hosted by Camilla & Jonny, the islanders took part in a quiz based on sex positions, with the first couple to act out the given sex position winning.

	Challenges	Day 21:Sexiest Pub Quiz-The islanders answered questions centred around sex, with the winners being rewarded with videos from home. In the end Gabby & Marcel were declared the winners. Day 23:Brits Abroad- The couples participated in a number of British themed challenges, with Montana and Dom being declared the eventual winners. Day 25:License to Swill-The couples were given quotes which had been said about them, to which the islanders would have to throw a drink over the islander they thought the quote related to. Day 26:Sexy Charades-The two villas went head to head in a game of sexy charades. Day 27:Raunchy Races-For the finale time the 2 villas went head to head, taking part in a variety of challenges, for which they'd win a point for each if they won them, with the villa that had the most points receiving a party.

In order for the answer to be revealed, the islanders had to do a pole dance. Day 32:Sexy Beer Pong-The islanders had to perform a dare, found on the bottom of a beer pong cup, as well playing the game in question. Day 33:Going Commando-The male islanders were tasked with tackling an assault course, where they had to go through it trying to look as sexy as possible. During said performance the girls would distract them with paint. In the end Jamie was the winner.

Week 7	Challenges	Day 42:That's What She Said-The islanders took part in a quiz about themselves, where each of the couples had to match each other's answers. However if the answers didn't match, the boy would be dunked. Alex & Montana were declared the overall winners. Day 44:Bang On Trend-The islanders divide into 2 teams in order to compete against each other in a challenge where they had to read tweets from some of the viewers about them, with the islander names blanked out. To score a point teams would need to burst balloons and then guess the islander the tweet was talking about. Day 45:Lie Detector Test-The girls were given that of a Lie detector test, where they were each given questions by their male partner. Day 46:Parenting Challenge-The couples had their parental skills tested, by having to look after baby-dolls. Day 47:Talent Contest-The islanders were allowed to show off their talents, as a part of a talent competition. Day 48:Girl Code-Each of the girls had to try and complete an undercover mission, without any of the boys finding out.

Throughout the season, the islanders faced a variety of different tasks/challenges that tested their relationships with one another.

The Hole Package	1	5	It's battle of the bods as our Islanders take on The Hole Package challenge. Our girls have nothing but their hands and some holes in the wall to decipher who's the best package on the other side. One of our new boys reigns victorious and it's fair to say Dom is more than a little put out with his placing on the leader board (erm you might want to work on your gracious loser face Dom!)
Splashing Around	1	6	It's the lilo championships and our Islanders are all determined to prove who's boss of the waves. Who will reign victorious after this tense battle of the inflatables? Watch out for some surprisingly competitive contenders..
Truth or Dare	2	7	Nothing gets our Islanders going more than a game of truth or dare. From snogs to royal revelations it is ALL going on tonight. But who will be first to kiss the new boy?!
Kissing Contest	2	9	Who will the lads crown the Top Snogger of Love Island 2017? It's a prestigious title so we can see why our girlies went to town on their attempts at winning. Special shout out to dark horse Camilla - seemingly once you pop, you just can't stop on the snogging front..

The Smoothiest Operator	3	16	It's challenge time for our Islanders, and which couple will be the smoothiest operators? It's a game of speed and skill (skill in trying not to gag when someone empties smoothie making materials into your mouth......with their mouth). Ahhh, the lengths our gang will go to just for a snog!
Speedy Positions	3	16	It's time for a swift game of Speedy Sex Positions. Which couples will find themselves up, down and upside-down the quickest? Watch to find out who knows the Kama Sutra like the back of their hands, and which dark-horse sees themselves as "a lady in the streets, but a freak in the sheets"?
License to Swill	4	25	It's time for a game of 'Licence to Swill', where a whole host of secrets and scandals will be exposed! Our Islanders will hear various savage quotes (or shall we say insults) that have been said about themselves, and must guess where they came from. Then throw a drink in the culprit's face. Ouch. Talk about adding insult to injury.
Sexy Charades	4	26	It's time for the original villa to take on Casa Amor in the ultimate challenge - Sexy Charades! Any excuse for our Islanders to get themselves in some compromising positions...
Raunchy Races	4	27	It's a raunchy race against time for the two villas as our Islanders get to know their new guests VERY well. There's a party prize up for grabs so everyone is giving it their all. Special shout out to the skinny dippers!
Poll Dancing	5	30	In today's Poll Dancing challenge our Islanders learn what the outside world really thinks about them. And as poll meets pole lots of brutal truths are about to be exposed. Ouch. Luckily a sexy swivel around the poll should cheer everyone up right? Or at least the sight of the boys in those metallic budgie smugglers will...
Sexy Beer Pong	5	32	What better way to bond with the newbies than with a game of beer pong? With a sexy twist of course... This is Love Island - would you expect any less from us?

That's What She Said	7	42	It's time for our 'That's What She Said' challenge where the boys have to prove how much they really know about their girls. This Mr and Mrs style game will show who's really been paying attention, and who has been too busy swooning to take note. Being a Love Island challenge of course the losers will be dunked, obvs! Look out for some hilarious reactions as our lads take the plunge - splish, splash!
Bang On Trend	7	44	It's that time of the summer - your salty tweets are getting revealed to the Islanders, and thank you guys, you did not disappoint! Watch as they learn what the public really think of them, and shocking truths are exposed about who's been bitching about who in the villa. WARNING: Things are about to get very muggy.
Talent Contest	7	47	t's time for our Islanders to show us what their made of... on stage that is! And trust us they do not disappoint... From swoony lovesongs, to lapdances, to heart-felt speeches and even a roasting - they've got it all covered. Plus, our after a lesson from none other than Stormzy himself our boys Chris, Kem and Marcel cannot wait to spit some bars. With the finale nearing closer they could be heading straight to a grime scene near you. You're welcome.
Girl Code	7	48	Montana's making sexy noises, Liv's having dirty dreams, Camilla's chatting Blazin' Squad and Amber's spooning boys... No, not what our Love Island ladies like to get up to in their spare time. OF COURSE it's a secret challenge that we've set for our girls! But will they pass their undercover mission, or will the lads suss them out?

Coupling History[]

Like with the previous two seasons, the Islanders were required to couple up with their fellow Islanders in order to survive on the island. The girls would line-up for the boys and would be able to step forward for the boy they were attracted to, with the boy getting the final say on who he coupled with.

In Season 3, Marcel picked Olivia, Dom picked Montana, Sam picked Camilla, Harley chose Amber and Kem chose Chloe, with Jessica remaining single. Throughout the season, various re-couplings took place that allowed the Islanders to choose someone different.
