Later on December 28th,2022 it was announced that Swedish actress; Julia Franzen would be taking over as the host of the show, replacing previous show host; Malin Gramer. At the time it was also announced that the new season would be premiering January 23rd, 2023.[3]
Casting[]
Auditions for the new season were opened on October 17th,2022 with the producers looking for young and attractive boys and girls between the ages of 18-35 to apply. In order to apply for the new season, potential islanders would need to access the application form available through the show's website on TV4. The application form in question features a variety of tabs that applicants would need to progress through, including a basic details section and an area where questions are put towards them. The producers will also require potentials to film a short audition tape, that would need to be attached to the form. As of January 2023 the applications are still open for new islanders to apply.[4]
Villa[]
The luxury villa being utilized for this new season, was revealed in an audition promotional ad for the show as seen through it's official Instagram page.[5] The villa in question is based in Los Cabos in Mexico and is the same villa that was utilized in the Franco-Canadian version of Love Island.
