Season 3 (Belgium)

Season 3 is the third season of the Flemish version of Love Island, hosted by Holly Mae Brood & Viktor Verhulst, and premiering July 11th,2022 on Dutch streaming platform; Videoland.

Production[]

After initially being cancelled upon the ending of the second season, the joint Belgium and Netherlands show was revealed to be being revived for a third season on May 3rd,2022 through the show's social media accounts.^[1].

Later on May 13th,2022 it was confirmed that former host Viktor Velhurst would be returning to present for the new season alongside Holly-Mae again, while promoting the auditions for the new season.^[2] On June 27th,2022 it was announced through the show's official social media accounts that the new season would be premiering July 11th,2022 premiering exclusively on Videoland.^[3]

Casting[]

Applications for the new season, were opened upon it's announcement on May 13th, 2022 with the producers making use of the show's social media platforms to advertise these applications through a trailer featuring clips from the previous season.^[4]

As per the previous seasons, the show was looking for young and attractive single boys and girls between the ages of 20 and 30 to take part, requiring potential islanders to fill out an application form involving their various personal details, as well as answering questions surrounding your suitability towards being an islander on the show. As of July 2022, the applications are still open.^[5]

Villa[]

The season will be filmed from the luxury villa located in Gran Canaria, which had been used for the previous 2 seasons, as well as the Spanish and Italian seasons of Love Island. This news was confirmed on June 13th,2022 through behind the scenes photos that ITV Studios NL had posted through their social media.

Islanders[]

The initial line-up for the season, was revealed on July 4th,2022 just a week before the new season was due to start. The cast was comprised of 6 boys and 6 girls, with further islanders set to enter the villa as bombshells later in the season.

	Couplings	Day 1:After each of the girls had entered the villa, the boys were introduced one by one and asked to couple up with a girl of their choice. These were the final couplings-Lennert & Amandine, Gideon & Tene, Merijn & Kimbery, Marvin & Sunita, Mehti & Manon. Day 2: On Day 1, bombshell; Fe was told that during the next day she'd be able to steal a boy to couple up with, as was Jules when he arrived on Day 2.
