Season 2 (UK-All-stars)

Season 2 is the second season of the All-star edition of Love Island UK, hosted by Maya Jama and premiering January 13th,2025 on ITV2.

Production[]

On May 28th,2024 it was officially confirmed that a second season of the All-stars show would be airing in 2025. At the time it was stated that this would come as part of a celebration for the franchise's tenth anniversary, with the director of ITV's Reality and acquisitions department; Paul Mortimer citing the success of the previous season among 16-34-year olds.^[1]

On July 29th,2024 the date of the previous season's finale, Maya Jama confirmed that she would be returning to host the second season of "All-stars".^[2]

On December 10th,2024 it was confirmed that Ebay would be returning as the sponsors for the season, looking to continue promoting the idea of pre-loved fashion.^[3]

The first teasers for the season were released on December 15h,2024, revealing the tagline for the season: "Dating royalty is back" .Later on December 16th,2024 it was officially confirmed by ITV that the season would be premiering January 13th,2025.^[4] The first full trailer for the season was released on December 21st, reaffirming Maya as the host and providing a first tease of the islanders.^[5]

Casting[]

As with the previous season of the show, this season would feature a cast of returning all-star islanders from the previous eleven seasons.

On November 18th,2024 it was reported that there was a possibility islanders from other versions of the show maybe taking part, with former LI-Aussie islander; Callum being rumoured to take part.^[6]

Villa[]

This season of All-stars was once again aired from the luxury villa located in Franschhoek, South Africa that had been utilized for both the previous All-star season and the ninth normal season. The first official photos of the new villa were revealed on January 9th,2025, showing off a brand new pink and white stripy aesthetic for the outdoor kitchen as well as the general aesthetic of pink, blue and gold.^[7]

Islanders[]

The initial line-up of all-stars for the new season were first teased in the season's first teaser trailer, released December 21st,2024.^[8] The initial line-up was revealed in full on January 7th,2025, being comprised of 6 boys and 6 girls.^[9] Further all-star islanders entered the season later as bombshells.

	Couplings	Day 1:After all of the islanders had arrived, they were told that the public had been voting for whom they would be coupling up with and would find out the results later that evening. The final couplings were as such: Catherine & Nas, Curtis & Kaz, Elma & Ronnie, Gabby & Marcel, India & Scott, Luca & Olivia. Day 2: During the evening of Day 1, bombshell; Ekin-Su was told that she'd be able to choose a boy to couple up with the next day. During the evening of Day 2, Ekin chose to couple up with Curtis leaving Kaz single. Day 4: First re-coupling (Boy's choice)-Curtis & Ekin, Scott & India, Ronnie & Elma, Nas & Catherine (Stayed together). Casey & Gabby, Marcel & Olivia, Luca & Kaz (Re-coupled). Day 7: Bombshell Tina was told that she would be able to choose a boy to couple up with and as such she made the decision to couple up with Scott.

	Couplings	Day 9:Bombshells Grace & Ron were given the opportunity to steal a boy and girl respectively to couple up with. As such Grace chose to couple up with Luca and Ron chose Kaz. Day 12: Bombshells Harriett & Montel were given the opportunity to steal a boy and girl respectively to couple up with. As such Harriett chose to couple up with Ron and Montel chose Kaz.
	Challenges	Day 11:Kissing Challenge-In this challenge, each of the boys were lined-up and had to wear blindfolds and noise-cancelling headphones. Each of the girls would then take it in turns to come up and snog each of the guys, with the boys then being tasked with rating the kiss out of 10. The girl that had the highest total score at the end of the challenge would be declared the winner. In the end Ekin-Su was declared the winner.

	Exits	Day 10:On Day 9 a public vote for the most compatible couples opened-Elma & Ronnie, Marcel & Olivia, Catherine & Nas (bottom 3 couples)-Marcel & Olivia (voted least compatible).

	Couplings	Day 18: As the latest bombshells, Danielle & Sammy were given the opportunity to steal a boy and girl respectively to couple up with. As such Danielle chose to couple up with Curtis and Sammy chose Elma.

	Exits	Day 16: On Day 14 a public vote for the most popular boys and girls was opened. Later on Day 16 it was revealed that Elma & Luca had been voted as the most popular girl and boy respectively and would be tasked with saving one of the bottom 4 islanders-Kaz, Montel, Nas and Tina-Kaz,Montel,Nas (Not saved).

Coupling History[]

On January 9th,2025 it was announced that the public would once again be able to couple up the islanders for the first coupling, with them being able to pair each of the girls with one of the guys via the Love Island app or through the show's site online.^[10] The application would later close on January 10th,2025.
