Season 2 is the second season of the Flemish version of British reality tv dating show; Love Island, hosted by Holly Mae Brood and premiering on the streaming service; Videoland on May 24th,2021.
Production[]
After this version of the show had been previously cancelled in 2020, it was officially revealed on March 17th,2021 that the show in fact would be returning with a second season with auditions opening that month.
Later it was confirmed on April 30th that the new season would be airing on 24th May,2021 on the Netherlands exclusive streaming platform; Videoland. On May 10th 2021, it was revealed that the co-hostess of the Belgian version; Holly Mae Brood would be taking over as host of the show, instead of the show's previous host; Monica Geuze.
Casting[]
Auditions for this season were first opened by the producers on March 17th,2021, with them looking for young and attractive boys and girls to take part, being announced through their Instagram account and using clips from the previous Belgian season to help promote the experience towards potential applicants.
The Villa[]
The first images of the new villa for this season, were released by the show on May 22nd,2021 through a story from their official Instagram account. Here they looked to show off their outdoor seating areas, the bar, lounge and luxury pool.
Islanders[]
The cast for this season was revealed a week before the season's premiere on May 17th,2021. The initial cast was comprised with 10 islanders, with 5 boys and 5 girls. More islanders would enter later in the season.
