Season 2 (Australia)

Season 2 of the Australian Love Island, hosted by Sophie Monk, premiering October 7th,2019 and lasted for 6 six weeks, coming to a conclusion on November 14th, with Anna McEvoy & Josh Packham being crowned the winners and Cartier & Matthew as the runners-up.

Production[]

The second season of the show was confirmed to be in production during October of 2018, where it was revealed that the show could be moving location in terms of it's villa. This will also be the first season to air on Nine's primary channel. It was also confirmed that Sophie would once again host. It was announced on September 22nd,2019 that the second season would be premiering October 7th,2019, while also revealing it's first teaser-trailer.

Casting[]

The Applications for the second season of Love Island Australia, were opened on October 18th,2018, encouraging young, attractive and singular boys and girls to audition once more. In order to be applicable, applicants would need to be between the ages of 18-35.

Villa[]

The first look at the villa for this season was revealed on the launch date of the season; October 7th,2019. Unlike the previous season, the location of this villa was moved to Fiji, using the same villa as the first season of the American version of the show.

Islanders[]

The initial line-up of islanders for the 2019 season, were revealed 29th September,2019 just a week from the launch. The initial line-up featured 11 islanders, with 5 girls and 6 guys, while more islanders will enter later.

Week-by-Week Summary[]

	Coupling	Day 1: After the girls entered, they were introduced to the boys one by one, with the boys then being able to choose which girl they wanted to couple with. The couplings went like this: Jessie & Maurice, Cartier & Gerard, Vanessa & Matthew, Cassie & Adam and Cynthia & Sam. Day 3: After having arrived as a late entrant on Day 2, new boy; Eoghan was tasked with stealing one of the girls off of the boys. After 2 dates on Day 3, Eoghan chose to couple with Jessie, therefore leaving Maurice single.
	Challenges	Day 3:Excess Baggage-The boys and girls take part in a game, where both genders take it in turns to read clues off of a suitcase, that falls into a conveyor with their name on. They then have to kiss the person they believe the clue relates to and if they get it right, they score a point. In the end the boys won the challenge Day 5:Cupid's Arrow-In this challenge, the girls were tasked with choosing who they wanted to kiss, before having to throw a dart at a wheel with the boys faces on. The boy that it landed on, would be the boy they had to kiss, with the middle of the board then giving the islander a choice. The challenge ended in a draw.

	Couplings	Day 7: First Re-Coupling(Girls Choice)-Vanessa & Matthew, Jessie & Eoghan (Stayed Together). Cartier & Adam, Phoebe & Cassie, Cynthia & Maurice, Anna & Gerard(Re-Coupled) Day 12: Twins; Josh and Luke were given the opportunity to steal a girl to couple up with. Josh chose to couple with Anna and Luke coupled with Cassie, therefore leaving Gerard & Phoebe single respectively.
	Challenges	Day 7:Meet Your Match-Each of the girls were tasked with giving ranks to each of the boys, in the given order of who they are most-least compatible, with 1 point being given out for each correct position. In the end, Anna was declared the winner of the challenge.

	Challenges	Day 14:Red-Hot Rescue-In this challenge, the boys had to dress up as Firemen, and tackle an fire-fighter-themed obstacle course, before rescuing their girl. The girls would then judge who the winner was, based off of which boy did the challenge in the sexiest way. In the end, the winner was Adam.
	Dates	Day 15:The "Bomb Squad"(Angel,Biannca,Isabelle,Jordan & Tea), went on speed-dates with the boys.
	Exits	Day 14:After a public vote for most couples in the prior episode, the bottom 3, alongside singular Gerard were; Cynthia & Maurice, Matthew & Vanessa, Eoghan & Jessie-Maurice & Vanessa(Dumped by most popular couples). Day 17:Angel & Tea(Failed to couple-up & weren't saved by Aaron)
