Season 1 is the first season of Sweden's version of the British dating show; Love Island, premiering August 19th,2018 and being presented by Malin Stenback.
The season lasted till October 1st,2018, where Victoria Eklund and partner; Jacob Olsson were declared the winners of the season, with Sandra Gonzalez & Johan Lundin ending up as the runner-ups.
Production[]
The announcement of a Swedish Love Island, was made in June 2018, for airing in August of the same year after the format had had success overseas. Malin Stenback was also announced as the hostess during this announcement.
On August 13th,2018 after the first set of islanders were revealed for the season, it was revealed that the season would be premiering August 19th,2018.
Casting[]
Auditions were opened for this season, upon the announcement of it in June. In particular the show, like it's international counterparts where looking for young and attractive boys and girls to take part in the show by sending in audition tapes. Auditions would be closed prior to August of the same year.
Villa[]
The villa for this version of the show, was situated on the Greek island of Corfu instead of in Majorca, Spain like the original British version of the show. This villa was first shown off in a video posted to the show's YouTube channel on August 19th,2018, being just a day before the season launched on August 19th.
Islanders[]
The initial line-up of islanders were announced on August 13th,2018, with new islanders then entering the villa later in the season.
