Season 1 is the first season of the Norwegian version of Britain's dating reality TV show; Love Island, hosted by Tone Damli and premiering on TV3 August 26th,2018.
On October 8th,2018, the first season was won by Andrea Sveinsdottir and partner; Morten Dalhaug, with the runners-up being declared as Cristian Olsen & Ellinor Hakonsen.
Production[]
The production of a Norwegian version of Love Island was first announced June 20th 2018 by TV3, due part thanks to the success of the UK version's success. Alongside this news, it was also revealed that former Norwegian Eurovision star and singer; Tone Damli would be the host for the season.
Later that year on August 14th,2018 it was revealed by TV3 that the first season would premier August 26th. This season would last 37 days across 5 weeks, finishing on October 8th,2018 where Andrea and Morten were announced as the winners of the 300,000 euros.
Casting[]
The auditions for this season were opened upon the announcement of the show, in June, with producers looking young and attractive single boys and girls to take part in the season. Auditions would later close in July of the same year.
Islanders[]
The initial line-up of islanders for the first season of this version, were revealed on 24th August, just 2 days before the season was due to premier on TV3. More islanders would enter the show later in the season.
