Season 1 is the first season of the VIP edition of the German Love Island, hosted by Sylvie Meis and premiering October 24th,2024 on RTLII.
Production[]
The first VIP season of the show was confirmed to be in production on June 13th,2024 and that for the first time ever the show would feature German celebrities and all-star former islanders.[1] Unlike the previous seasons of the show, this edition would be pre-recorded during the summer, to air later in the year.
It was later confirmed that the new season would be premiering October 24th,2024 with new episodes then airing every Thursday from that point onwards.[2]
Villa[]
On October 10th,2024 host Sylvie Meis revealed that this season was filmed from a new-look villa, noting that they wanted to pimp out the villa for the celebrities. At the time it was also confirmed that the season was filmed at a villa located in Greece.[3]
Islanders[]
The entire line-up of VIP islanders were revealed in full on September 24th,2024 and featured 19 individuals. Only 10 of these however entered the villa on launch night.[4]
