Season 1 is the first season of the French version of British dating reality show; Love Island, hosted by Nabila Vergara and premiering March 2nd,2020 on Amazon Prime Video France.

Production

This season was first confirmed to be in development for the Amazon Prime Video platform on November 7th,2019 by ITV Studios international.

On February 5th,2020 it was confirmed that French social media influencer/television presenter; Nabila Vergara would be the host of Love Island's first French season.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the production on this season was forced to close down prematurely on 16th March,2020. As an effect of this, a public poll for the winning couple was immediately opened, with Angele and Tristan later being declared the winners of the Season on Day 17.

Casting

Auditions for this season were opened upon the announcement of the season of November 7th,2019 with the producers looking for young men and women from the age of 22 and up to take part in the show.

Islanders

The initial line-up for this season was revealed on February 26th,2020, just a week before the show was set to premier on Amazon Prime. More islanders will enter the villa later in the season.

	Couplings	Day 1:After the girls had entered they were introduced to the boys one by one, with each of the girls stepping forward for the guy they were interested. However the boy made the ultimate decision, with the couplings as such: Tristan & Angele, Bilal & Pauline, Jeremy & Raynande, Jimmy & Louna, Logan & Lea. Day 2: After having been tasked with stealing one of the boys on Day 1, Sarra was able to make her choice, and decided to couple with Jimmy, therefore making Louna single. 	Challenges	Dossiers Airport-In this challenge, the boys and girls were split into two teams, where each member of both teams would take down a suitcase from the conveyor, with the islander then reading a statement correlating to an islander of the opposite sex on the tag. They'd then have to kiss the islander they believed it correlated to. If they got it right, they would score a point.
