Season 1 is the first season of the Australian version of Love Island, hosted by Sophie Monk, with narration by Eoghan McDermott.
The season premiered on May 21st,2018 and then concluded on July 5th,2018, with Tayla Damir and Grant Crapp being declared the winners, as well as Eden Dally and Erin Barnett coming out as the runners-up.
The season was confirmed to be in production, during the year 2017, before it's 2018 premiere, with the host being confirmed as Sophie Monk, accompanied by narrator; Eoghan McDermott.
Casting[]
Casting for this season began in early 2018, where the producers were looking for young 18-35 year old boys and girls to take part in the season. In order to do this they had send in auditions tapes to the producers of the show.
Some islanders were also scouted through their social media accounts as well.

The initial line-up of Islanders for this season, was revealed on May 21st 2018, exactly one week from the launch of the show.
Day 1:After each of the girls had entered the villa they were asked to line up, as each of the boys were introduced. They had to step forward for the boy they were interested in, however the overall decision was up to the boys. The couplings were as such; Josh and Tayla, Justin & Millie, Charlie & Natasha, Grant & Cassidy, Eden & Erin.
Day 2: After entering on Day 2, new islander; Kim was given the chance to steal a boy off of one of the girls. She chose Josh, meaning Tayla was left single.
Day 7: First Re-coupling(Girls Choice)-Erin & Eden, Millie & Justin (Stayed together). Tayla & Grant, Cassidy & Elias, Natasha & Josh, Kim & John James(Re-coupled)
Challenges
Day 3:Spin The Bottle-In this challenge, a giant bottle was spun and the islander who it landed on, would have to kiss a fellow islander of the opposite sex to whom they believed a given statement correlated to. Ultimately the boys were declared the winners of this challenge.
Day 5:The Hole Package-The girls were tasked with ranking each of the boys based upon how their bodies felt. To do this each of the boys stood with their backs to a wall and the girls would have to feel their bodies through holes and then determining which of them had the best body. In the end Eden was declared the winner.
Day 10: New islander Francoise was given the chance to steal a boy to couple with and as such chose Elias, meaning that Cassidy was left single.
Challenges
Day 9:Pashtag- The boys each had to design a hashtag and rate their partner based upon this hashtag out of 10. In the end Cassidy managed to score the highest and as such was declared the winner.
Day 11:Strip-Tease-The boys had to strip down in order to try and raise the heart rates of their partners, with the boy who managed to raise it the most being determine the winner. At the end, this was announced as Elias.

Day 17: As the new boy, Dom was able to steal a girl off of one of the boys to couple with. He chose Cassidy leaving Josh single.
Challenges
Day 15:Balloon Thrust-The islanders were divided into 2 teams, with both teams competing against one another to pop the most balloons. Islanders in each team would take it in turns to burst a balloon. In the end Cassidy and her team managed to win.
Day 16:Any Hole is a Goal-In this challenge the boys and girls were pit against each other, with members from each team having to try and toss a ball into the mouth of a cardboard cut-out of an islander. Ultimately it resulted in a tie between both the boys and girls.
Day 18:Dirty Pizza-The couples were tasked with making pizza, without the use of their hands and only using their mouth. Eden and Erin were late declared the overall winners.

Day 18: On Day 17 Australia voted for which boy they felt would be most likely to leave with a girlfriend-Elias(Fewest amount of Public Votes). Jaxon & Justin (Next fewest amount of votes)-Justin(Chosen by the most popular boy; Eden & Erin).
Day 24:Fourth Re-coupling(Boys Choice)-Dom & Millie, Eden & Erin (Stayed Together).Jaxon & Shelby, Josh & Amelia, Grant & Tayla , Teddy & Francoise (Re-coupled).
Challenges
Day 20:Poll Dancing-The islanders were each split into 2 teams, where one member from each team would have to perform a pole dance, before they're able to answer a question, where they'd have to move the marker up the percentage board to give their guess. If they got it right they scored a point. As the Blue team scored 8 points they won.
Exits
Day 25: After being made single during Day 24's re-coupling Edyn & Cassidy were put up for a public vote-Cassidy(Least amount of Votes).
Day 31: As the new boys, Mark and Kory were able to steal a girl each off of one of the boys. Kory chose Millie and Mark chose Edyn, leaving Dom & Teddy single.
Challenges
Day 26:Rank Bank-For this challenge, the islanders were divided into boys and girls, with each side having to correctly arrange the opposite side's members in accordance to various categories in a public poll. If they got it right they would manage to score a point. In the end neither of the teams scored a point, so it was a draw at 0-0.
Day 29:Sexy Positions-In this challenge, each of the couples had knowledge of sex positions put to the test, with each of them having to try and perform a specific sex position. The first couple to complete each one would score a point, with the couple that had the most points winning. In the end , the challenge was won by Tayla & Grant.
Day 31:Shaken and Stirred-The islanders had to try and guess which islander had made a statement about them, having to throw a drink over them to make their guess. The answer would then be revealed and if the islander got it right, they'd score a point. The overall winner for this challenge was Teddy.
Day 30: All the girls were tasked with determining which of the boys should be dumped from the island-Jaxon(Girls Choice).
Week 6
Couplings
Day 35:Sixth Re-coupling(Boys Choice)-Grant & Tayla, Eden & Erin, Josh & Amelia (Stayed together).Dom & Shelby, Mark & Millie, Teddy & Edyn(Re-coupled).
Challenges
Day 34:Fake News-The islanders split into 2 teams, with each having a member sit atop a dunking board. Said islanders would have to try and guess whether or not a headline is true or false, with the islander who got it wrong getting dunked. The islander that got it right, would score a point for their team.
Day 37:Lie Detector Test-The girls were tasked with coming up with questions they could put forward to their partner, while they were hooked up to a lie detector, where they'd have to answer the questions truthfully.
At the start of the season, the initial 10 Islanders were coupled with one another, so as to remain on the island. The first 5 girls would line-up and would then be given the choice to step forward for the guy that they're interested in. The boy would then be given the decision to choose which girl he wants to couple with regardless of which girls had stepped forward.
In particular Tayla paired with Josh, Justin with Millie, Charlie with Natasha, Cassidy with Grant and Erin with Eden. As new islanders arrived on the island, there would be more re-coupling ceremonies taking place over the season.
