Season 1 is the first season of the American counterpart to the British Reality-TV dating show; love Island. It Premiered July 9th,2019 on the American TV network; CBS.
On August 7th,2019 Elizabeth Weber and Zac Mirabelli came out as the winners of the first season, with Alexandra Stewart and Dylan Curry as the runners-up.
In the summer of 2018, CBS announced that they would be producing an American version of Love Island, after the success of the fourth season of it's British Counterpart. In May 2019 it was confirmed that the season would launch July 9th,2019. On June 20th,2019, it was announced that Greek model/actress; Arielle Vandenberg would be the host.[1]
Casting[]
The applications for this season were opened during the fall of 2018, with the producers looking for attractive young singles between the ages of 18 & 30. The applications for this season were closed during March of 2019.
Villa[]
On June 20th,2019, it was confirmed that the villa for the American adaption of the show, would be situated in Fiji, where the original show was filmed. The first official images for the American villa were released on July 8th, 2019.[2]

Islanders[]
The initial line-up of islanders for this season was revealed June 30th,2019. More islanders will enter later in the season.
Day 1:After each of the girls had entered, the boys were brought in 1 by 1 and were given the choice of which of the girls they wanted to couple up with. The couplings were as such:Alana & Yamen, Alexandra & Michael, Carol & Cashel, Elizabeth & Zac, Mallory & Weston.
Day 2:Singular islander Kyra, was allowed to steal one guy off of a girl. She chose to couple up with Cashel, making Carol single.
Day 5:First Re-Coupling-(Girls Choice)-Elizabeth & Zac, Alana & Yamen, Mallory & Weston, Kyra & Cashel(Stayed Together). Alexandra & Dylan, Carol & Cormac(Re-Coupled).
Challenges
Day 3:Excess Baggage:The girls and boys divided into 2 teams and had to take suitcases off of a conveyor belt, when it landed into the corresponding islander's section. That islander would then read out a statement and would have to kiss the islander they thought it corresponded to, to earn a point for their team. In the end both teams tied.
Day 4:Going Commando:Each of the boys took part in an obstacle course, of which they had to complete in the sexiest way possible, with the girls then deciding the winner. In the end Michael was declared the winner.

Day 2: Cashel & Kyra(First Date)
Day 4:Cormac:Carol(Public Vote),Elizabeth(Choice) Dylan:Alexandra(Public Vote),Mallory(Choice).
Day 5:Float My Boat-Each of the girls were given blindfolds to wear, and were being instructed by their partners to blow up inflatable rafts, using a pump. After this, the couples had to use their raft, to row around a pink inflatable duck, with the couple to make it back first winning. The eventual winners were Alexandra & Dylan.
Day 9:Girl Power-The girls had to dress up as super-heroes and rescue their partners from villains, and after that the boys had to vote on who completed the course the best. In the end Alana was chosen as the unanimous winner.
Day 10:Hearts on Fire-The boys and girls competed against each other, to try and get their heart rates the highest.
Day 11:Fast Food-The couples had to pass a full meal of fast food from one side to the other, using only their mouth . In the end Cashel & Kyra were declared the winners.

Day 11:On Day 10, a public vote was opened for the most compatible couples-Yamen & Christen, Cormac & Carol (Bottom 2)-Cormac & Christen(Chosen by safe Islanders)
Day 15:Third Re-Coupling-(Girls Choice)-Elizabeth & Zac, Alexandra & Dylan(Stayed Together).Aissata & Yamen, Carol & Ray, Kyra & Eric, Kelsey & Weston, Katrina & Cashel(Re-Coupled).
Challenges
Day 16:Social Bingo-The islanders had tweets about them read out and were tasked with guessing which islander/s the tweet corresponded to. If they got it correct they scored a point.
Day 15:On Day 13 it was revealed that a public vote would open for the most popular new boys and girls-Eric & Kelsey(Safe)-Marlisse(Boys Choice to Dump), George(Girls Choice to Dump). Winston(Failed to Re-Couple)
Day 17:A Public vote for most popular couple was opened on Day 16-Katrina & Cashel(Least-Popular Couple).
Day 20:Fourth Re-Coupling-(Girls Choice)-Elizabeth & Zac, Alexandra & Dylan, Carol & Ray, Aissata & Yamen(Stayed Together). Emily & Weston, Kyra & Jered(Re-Coupled).
Challenges
Day 21:Dunk in Love-Each of the couples, had to go up one at a time and sit above a pool of water, being asked questions about their other halves. They would score a point if they got it right, but if they got it wrong, they'd be dunked.
Day 22:Polls Apart-The couples were tasked with sorting themselves in order of 1st, 2nd and 3rd into various categories, having to try and guess the order in which America had voted.
Day 23:Parenting Challenge:Each of the couples were given a baby-doll to look after for the day. If they passed the test they'd be able to attend a party.

Challenges
Day 24:Bound by Love-Each of the couples were tasked with building a shoe-rack together, without the use of their hands and while being handcuffed together. After this each of the girls were blindfolded and had to be directed by their guys to decorate a cake. In the end the winners were Kyra & Jered and Dylan & Alexandra respectively.
