Season 1 is the first season from the Albanian version of Love Island, hosted by Luana Vjollca and premiering September 3rd,2023 on TV Klan.
Production[]
The first season of the Albanian LI was confirmed to be in production on November 17th,2022 by ITV Studios and Albanian TV channel; TV Klan with plans to air the season in the spring of 2023.[1] At the same time, it was also confirmed that television presenter/model; Luana Vjollca would be taking the reigns as host for the season.
Promotional content for the new season began to appear through the show's official social media channels from July 10th,2023, where it was hinted that the new season would be premiering in September of 2023.[2] It was later confirmed on August 28th,2023 that the new season would be premiering September 3rd,2023.
Casting[]
The applications for the season were opened on April 12th,2023 with producers looking for young and attractive single boys and girls from across Albania to take part in the then-upcoming season. Potential applicants would be able to click on the link attached to the show's Insta-account and gain access to an application form available on the show's site, that potential islanders would need to fill out in order to register.
It was later reported that over 30,000 people had clicked on the application link just four days after it had been launched.[3]Applications for the season are still open as of September,2023.
Villa[]
The location of the villa isn't necessarily known, however it has been teased that the villa is located in Albania. On August 31st,2023 the first official images of the new villa were released via the show's official social media accounts.
Islanders[]
The initial cast of islanders were slowly revealed via the show's official Instagram account starting on August 31st,2023 and concluding on the show's launch on September 3rd, where the rest of the islanders were revealed. The cast comprised of 5 boys and 5 girls, with further islanders entering later as bombshells.
