Sam feels the boys are chilled and laid back, but hopes our girls are 'waiting for someone with a bit of energy'. He describes himself as 'hyperactive, loud and a showman'. For some reason we're suddenly realising Sam isn't going to blend into the background and be quiet in the corner... Sam is loyal and says he's never cheated. He also claims to have had only one girlfriend so far, who he dated for four years. 'We broke up mutually and amicably, mainly because she moved overseas', he explains. Maybe loyal Sam could give our Adam some lessons in breaking up amicably, in a friendly and polite way?! He's got his eye on Georgia and Samira, but is also quite taken by new girls Zara and Ellie. He's quick to add, 'all the girls in there are beautiful'. So who knows which girl is going to take his fancy? Sam isn't looking forward to early starts in the villa, as he says 'I’m not a morning person'. Maybe Alex or Jack could treat him to some avocado for brekkie - they seem to have mastered the art of whipping up a lush early morning breakfast so far! That could definitely perk up our seemingly grumpy-in-the-morning new boy! This guy won't get starstruck by the faces of the people he's been watching on TV for the last few weeks though, he's very used to working with some familiar faces. 'I trained Toff from Made in Chelsea,' he casually drops into convo. And aside from personal training a Queen of the Jungle, he's also trained boyband star George Shelley. We feel Sam might be a regular at the Love Island garden gym. But could there be a clash of fit men vying for the title of King of the Garden Gym? Adam better watch his back... There's a new personal trainer in town!

Sam entered the villa on Day 19, later coupling with Samira Mighty on Day 20. On Day 26, Sam entered Casa Amour, where he met Ellie Jones, whom he re-coupled with on Day 30, returning to the main villa. On Day 33, he was picked by single Georgia for a re-coupling, causing his current partner; Ellie J's dumping. He stayed with Georgia till Day 47, where the both of them were dumped, after refusing to re-couple and as such finished in 8th Place.

After Love Island, Sam's relationship with Georgia held up quite strong, with the pair meeting each other's parents in between their exit and the LI 2018 reunion. In August of the same year, Sam and Georgia were set to go house-hunting in Essex. During this time, Sam also made his relationship with Georgia official, live on air when the pair were guests on Good Morning Britain.

However in October, after appearing together at the ITVpalooza event, Sam announced on his Twitter that the two had gone their separate ways, with Georgia doing the same. The pair did get into a lengthy war of the words as to what happened , before Sam finally came forward and elaborated the fact that Georgia had told him that she was staying with a friends after appearing at PR event. However Georgia proceeded to post an image of her in bed with her ex, wearing the clothes she had worn to the event.

In March 2019, Sam was seen partying with a girl who looked similar in appearance to Georgia, while on a night out with fellow former islander; Adam C.

Sam didn't appear in a lot of other shows/media after his appearance on Love Island, mainly appearing on shows such as Lorraine and Good Morning Britain, alongside Georgia. Sam did later appear on a show called; Eating With My Ex, where he had dinner with another one of his former partners; Elle.

In May 2019, Sam released his own remix of the music track; "All Night" by Big Boi. Later that month he also released his own original song; "Fire", that would be played at the Fyre Festival.
