Paul's relationship with Laura was very short-lived after Love Island, as the couple only lasted a month. This was due to the fact that the pair the pair of them were too busy and had already had solo holidays planned. The pair split after they met back up at a personal event. However in October 2018, Paul claimed that he had only dumped Laura because she could never be his wife.

At the same time, Paul was also seen having lunch with a high-flying lawyer friend of his. In May 2019, Paul alluded to the fact that his relationship with Laura on LI was faked.

After appearing on Love Island, Paul alongside Laura appeared together on This Morning as guests, talking with Ruth and Eamonn about Laura's celeb crush on him and their time in the villa. After this Paul continued his career as a model.
