Oona, a 23-year-old beauty entrepreneur from Kerava, saw the search open in the spring for the Love Island Finland programme, decided to seize the opportunity and applied. In addition to working as an entrepreneur, Oona, who is studying to become a hairdresser, tells MTV News that she has been encouraged to apply for the program for several years. "Then I ended up looking at that application and the guys still encouraged me that you were applying now. I ended up picking up, and now all of a sudden I'm here. Oona has dated seriously twice and both of her past relationships were relationships lasting a few years. According to Oona, the most recent relationship was quite turbulent, after which she has enjoyed being able to search for herself in peace and live a good, peaceful life on her own. Now that she's been single for over a couple of years, Oona would be willing to find a new loved one by her side.

Oona entered the villa on Day 1, where she was coupled up with Markus. For the first re-coupling on Day 4, Oona was re-coupled with by Kimi. For the second re-coupling on Day 9, Oona decided to stay coupled with Kimi. During the third re-coupling on Day 13, Oona was re-coupled with by Muhamed. However during the fourth re-coupling on Day 20, Oona was unable to re-couple with anyone and as such was dumped from the island in 14th place. Later on Day 37, Oona was given a second chance and was allowed to return to the villa. At the eighth re-coupling on Day 38, Oona was able to get back together with Kimi. At Day 40's final re-coupling, Oona decided to stay loyal to Kimi. Later on Day 45, it was revealed that both she and Kimi had received the fewest amount of votes to win and as such were dumped together in 4th place.
