Matthew entered the villa on Day 1, where he coupled up with Vanessa Joli. Matthew stayed coupled with Vanessa, during the first re-coupling on Day 7. On Day 14, he was left single after a public vote that saws Vanessa dumped from the island. After the "Bomb Squad" twist on Day 17, Matthew decided to re-couple with new girl; Isabelle during the second re-coupling. However during Day 19's third re-coupling, Matt was unable to re-couple with Isabelle and was put at risk of being dumped, but did manage to survive, before he chose to get back together with Isabelle on Day 20. This lasted till Day 30, where Matt was made single, after his fellow islanders decided to dump Isabelle from the island. The next day at the fourth re-coupling ceremony, he was re-coupled with Cartier. During the finale on Day 36, Matthew alongside Cartier came out as the runner-ups. |
