Love Island America is the American counter-part to the popular British Dating-reality TV show; Love Island. It's produced by ITV studios, with help from the American broadcasting company and TV network CBS, who'll be airing the show on their flagship channel.
The first season of the show was announced to be launching on July 9th,2019 during May of the same year.
Format[]
This version of the show, retains the same basic format from it's sister-shows, where attractive young boys and girls would be brought to an island and tasked with coupling up with one another in order to survive on the island as couples.
As the show progresses, more islanders would arrive on the island testing the couples loyalties to each other or prompting a dumping to take place, during a dramatic re-coupling session. While on the island, the islanders would be encouraged to socialize and interact with each other, while taking part in various different challenges/tasks that would be designed to test loyalty. At the end of it, the last standing couple would be crowned the winners.

During the summer of 2018, as thanks to the success of the fourth season of the British Love Island, CBS announced that it would be picking up it's own version of the show for American Audiences, planning to launch it in the summer of 2019.
The applications for this season were opened by producers during the autumn of 2018, looking for 18-30 years-old, attractive boys and girls to take part in the show, through way of uploading an audition video and through scouting. These auditions closed in March of 2019.
In May, the launch date of the first season was announced to be July 9th,2019.
