Love Island: After-Sun is a British panel/talk-show spinoff to the ITV2 reality TV show; Love Island. The show is hosted by the host of the main show; Caroline Flack and features a live studio audience and a panel of celebrity guests, discussing the various antics that have occurred within the villa in the previous week of the show.


History[]

The show was first announced in May 2017, where it was revealed to be an accompanying show to Love Island's third season in 2017. The show would be hosted by the host of the main show, from a live studio, with an audience and panel of celebrity guests and would air after the main show every Sunday. The show began on June 11th,2017 and ran for the 8 weeks that the third season ran for.


The show returned for a second and third season in 2018 & 2019, in order to accompany the fourth and fifth seasons of Love Island. This season is also ran for the duration of the season.

Format[]

After-Sun would be in the style of a celebrity-panel show, where Caroline Flack would discuss the topics that had been brought out within the last week of the main show with a variety of celebrity guests and the audience. The show would feature exclusive interviews with new Islanders live from the confessional, behind-the-scenes clips and interviews with evicted Islanders. The show would air every Sunday after the main show on ITV2 at 10:00PM GMT.


The show would air for 8 weeks, with one episode to accompany each of the 8 weeks of the main show. During the third season of the show, the show aired from Elstree Studios (the studios from which Big Brother is filmed), but would move to the main island for the finales of the third and fourth seasons. The show would return to this format for the 4th Season of Love Island in 2018.
