For the first part of the challenge, each couple would be assigned a different colour and would be tasked with handing an umbrella coloured in their team colours to a couple whom they wanted to throw shade at, giving their reasons for doing so. For the second round of the challenge, each of the boys would be blindfolded and their girls would have to give them directions towards a spot on the sand marked with an X. There they would have to dig up a shell and then bring it back to their partner.
The couple, that managed to get their shell back first, would be the winners of their heat and move on while the losing pair would be eliminated from the challenge. In the final part of the challenge, the remaining couples would have to take it in turns to stand on surfboard and attempt to stay on it for as long as possible while being pelted with beach-balls by the other couples. The couple that manages to stay on the surfboard the longest would be declared the winners of the challenge.
