After passing a slippery obstacle course with Loesje, Koen introduced himself.
He won the challenge right away and impressed with his six-pack and looks in general. Koen is 28 years old and is from Waalwijk.
For the bread on the shelf he runs his own company in welding technical advice.
"I came to Love Island to take on the biggest adventure of my life. I sincerely hope to go home with the love of my life."
The cosy Brabander has a soft spot for women who are spontaneous, sincere and honest. "Although there may be a naughty edge to it, because I have that myself!"
Now that Koen has 'experienced enough in his life, it's time to start building something serious', he further acknowledges.
The fact that he took Loesje on his shoulder for the obstacle course challenge is not surprising, because he initially focused his arrows mainly on her. Deniz, who took Loesje from Casa Amor, has been warned.
In his spare time Koen likes to go to other countries: from skiing in the snow, to chilling under the sun in warm countries such as Spain, Portugal and his absolute favorite: Curaçao.
Now it's hoped he'll score a nice girlfriend on Love Island who can accompany him on the trips.[1]

Koen entered the villa on Day 19, as a late entrant. For Day 20's fourth re-coupling, Koen decided to couple up with Loesje. At Day 24's fifth re-coupling, Koen re-coupled with Luna. However after this it was revealed that both he and Luna had been selected to be dumped from the villa by their fellow islanders, but as Luna was saved by returning islander; Deniz, it meant that Koen was dumped alone, finishing in 8th place.
