Josh entered the villa on Day 8 as a late entry, later coupling with Georgia Steel on Day 10's Re-coupling session after her former partner walked out. He stayed with Georgia till Day 26, where he entered Casa De Amour and met Kaz. On Day 30 he re-coupled with Kazimir as a part of the "Stick or Twist" re-coupling. He stayed with Kaz till the finale on Day 59, where the pair walked out in 3rd Place.

Josh, alongside his LI partner; Kaz kept a good relationship after Love Island, with the pair being seen frequently together at various events. In December, however Josh was busy in America filming a boxing-fight and as such wasn't able to with Kaz for the filming of the LI Christmas special. But Josh did celebrate Christmas with her separately later that month.

In later January, 2019, Kaz posted on her Instagram that the pair had split up, as things hadn't gone quite to plan, and when fans pushed for comment, Josh himself confirmed this news.

In December of 2018, Josh appeared in the ITV show; How to Spend Well at Christmas, where he was seen as one of the gift-testers in the second episode. Throughout 2019, Josh posted on Instagram documenting his trips abroad alongside fellow islanders; Wes and Jack Fo, as well as partnering with Wes to release his own fashion line for BooHoo Men.
