Joey entered the villa on Day 1, where he coupled with Nina. At Day 5's first re-coupling, Joey made the decision to re-couple with Yasmin. Joey was able to stay coupled to Yasmin at Day 9's second re-coupling. Joey made the decision to stay coupled once more with Yasmin for Day 12's third re-coupling. For the "Stick or twist" re-coupling after Casa Amor on Day 17, Joey decided to re-couple with new girl; Luna, leaving Yasmin single. At Day 20's fourth re-coupling, Joey decided to stay coupled with Luna. On Day 24, Joey was re-coupled with by new girl; Sandra for the fifth re-coupling. For the final re-coupling on Day 26, Joey was able to get back together with Luna. However later it was revealed that both he and Luna had ended up in the bottom 3 couples of a public vote and as the most popular islanders decided not to save them, it meant the pair were dumped together in 6th place.
