"In my opinion, the perfect woman is funny, reliable, athletic and spontaneous. In appearance, the woman is a brunette, good-bodyed and tattooed, Joel lists.

Joel describes himself as a fun, entertaining and athletic young man.

"I'm also fit for the viewer's eye," he says.

"The worst dating experience was when a woman had such bad manners that she was closest to a date," Joel says.

According to the man, the worst turn-off is bad manners or mistreation of others, criticism of people and superficiality.

Joel's willing to go to great lengths to get himself the right one.

"If I find what I think is right for me, I'm willing to do everything and a little more. I'm also willing to show my feelings in front of the whole nation.^[1]

Joel entered the villa on Day 3, as a late entrant. For the first re-coupling on Day 12, Joel was coupled up with new girl; Inka. For Day 18's second re-coupling, Joel decided to re-couple with Meri. On Day 21, it was revealed that Joel had been voted the least popular boy and as such was dumped from the villa. However on Day 42, Joel was able to re-enter the villa, thanks to a public vote. For Day 49's final re-coupling, Joel decided to couple up with Janita. On Day 52, it was revealed that both he and Janita had ended up in the bottom of a public vote, and as his fellow islanders didn't save them, the pair were dumped together in 7th place.
