Idris has been catfished in the past, "I’ve been on a date where they’ve turned up and she didn’t look like how she looked in her photos, so I told her I won’t be seeing her again and ended the date. I ended it straight away!"

Idris entered the villa on Day 37, alongside Kieran Nicholls, however as he was unable to re-couple with anybody on Day 40, Idris was dumped from the villa in 10th Place
Idris went back to his professional boxing career after his unsuccessful stint on Love Island. In May of 2019, Idris became one of the rumoured competitors for the thirty-fourth season of US reality-TV show; The Challenge.
