With his long-haired surfer look, Hugo capsizes the hearts of all girls. He loves to date and he does not hide it. When he's on his wave, it never lasts long before he turns back to the next one. He charms everywhere, all the time, and sometimes ends up with the dates of his friends. That's the Hugo effect!

Hugo entered the villa on Day 1, where he chosen to be coupled up with by Lorie. For the first re-coupling on Day 8, Hugo was chosen to be re-coupled with by Kim. On Day 17, Hugo was left single after Kim found herself in the bottom of a public vote, before being subsequently dumped by the islanders. At Day 29's second re-coupling, Hugo decided to get back together with Lorie. Upon Casa Amor coming to a close on Day 36, Hugo chose to remain loyal to Lorie for the "Stick or twist" re-coupling and as Lorie chose the same, the pair were able to remain together. At the finale on Day 45, both Hugo and Lorie were declared the winners of the season.
