Ellie entered the villa on Day 12, alongside Zara McDermott. On Day 20 she coupled with Alex George, but after leaving Alex for Casa Amour, she met up with Charlie Brake on Day 26. On Day 30, she re-coupled with Charlie. She stayed with Charlie till Day 43, where as thanks to a public vote she alongside Charlie were dumped from the island, finishing in 9th Place.

After appearing on Love Island, together with Charlie, the pair were able to uphold a strong relationship, with Ellie even planning to a potential marriage to Charlie and babies. However towards the end of August, Charlie kicked Ellie out of their flat that they shared together. At this time rumours were also sparked that Ellie had been pregnant, to which she denied at the start of September.

Their relationship only went downhill from here, when the pair officially decided to part ways on September 25th, after Ellie had moved out of his mansion a few days prior. Weeks after Ellie had split with Charlie, she was seen kissing with former TOWIE star; Joey Essex, but was later forced to deny this fact.

In early 2019, Ellie got close to 2016 islander, Scott, but in February she had to deny that she was moving to Manchester for him, as she was moving in with former co-stars Kendall and Stephanie. Later in April 2019, Ellie was seen out kissing Manchester United footballer; Marcus Rashford which sparked rumours the pair may be dating, with Marcus then being quick to deny this.

After coming off of Love Island with Charlie, Ellie didn't appear in many shows or in other media appearances. In 2019, it was reported that she'd be moving into a home with fellow-islanders Kendall and Stephanie. Ellie did however make appearances on LI spinoff show's, including the Reunion show and the Christmas special in 2018.

Ellie continues to post her snaps on Instagram, modelling various outfits. Later in 2019, Ellie took part in the eleventh season of Ex on The Beach, where she confronted her ex; Charlie.
