Derek entered the villa on Day 14, as a late entrant. Derek was chosen to be re-coupled with by Bianca at Day 17's fourth re-coupling. Derek, for Day 21's post Casa-Amor "Stick or twist" re-coupling chose to remain loyal to Bianca and as she did the same, the pair were able to stay together. During the final re-coupling on Day 25, Derek chose to stay coupled with Bianca. At the finale on Day 29, Derek alongside Bianca came out together as the runners-up.
