The first season of the lgbtq version was announced to be in production by User:LoveislandSeason in October 2022 after the success of the second and first seasons that were not lgbtq.
Production wanted to change this series up from the normal series and decided to make it LGBTQ. So for this series it would allow anybody to couple up.
