Sydney chippie turned reality TV star, Al Perkins has had a huge year in 2022, and it's only about to get bigger.

Al became a fan favourite on the much talked about Channel 9 series Married At First Sight, even though he didn't eventually find love with his on screen wife Samantha.

Ever since doing a 'shoey' Al endeared himself to Australia, and he is set to do the same in the Love Island Australia Villa.

Despite not finding love on MAFS, Al says he still had the time of his life on the show and ever since. He gets recognised everywhere, including in Mallorca, Spain where he was stopped multiple times at the airport.^[1]

Al entered the villa on Day 8, as a bombshell. At Day 9's second re-coupling, Al as the latest bombshell was allowed to couple up first and as such he chose to couple up with Jess. For the third re-coupling on Day 17, Al decided to stay coupled with Jess. For Day 22's fourth re-coupling, Al was able to stay coupled up with Jess. For Day 26's final re-coupling, Al was able to once again stay coupled with Jess. On Day 29, it was revealed that there had been a super-fan vote for the most popular couples and having received the lowest amount of votes, both Al and Jess were dumped from the villa together, finishing in 4th place.
