At Day 35's fourth re-coupling, Aku decided to re-couple again, this time with new girl; Michelle. For the fifth re-coupling on Day 40, Aku was re-coupled with Janita. During Day 49's final re-coupling he decided to re-couple with returning islander; Sanni. on Day 55, it was revealed that both him and Sanni were unable to accumulate enough public votes to win and as such they were dumped together in 5th place.
